The New Bohemian

The new bohemian is equal parts romance and rebellion. Free-spirited but refined, she channels a youthful femininity with just enough undone attitude to keep it interesting. Inspired by the great boho muses, her wardrobe has a distinctly bourgeois French flavour - think Chloé, Celine and Saint Laurent on rotation. She mixes soft ruffles, lingerie details and folkish ease with boyish leather, worn-in denim and a little rock ’n’ roll bite. Hers is considered nonchalance at its best: feminine without being precious, rebellious without trying too hard, and cool in the way only the slightly dishevelled can be.
